South Africa: Data BI Support Analyst

Job Requirements & Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric) Tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field 24 years experience in a Data Analyst or BI Support role Intermediate to advanced SQL skills Proven experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query) Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, data cleansing) Understanding of data governance and data privacy principles (POPIA) Exposure to Python and AI tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT (advantageous) Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Job Duties: Design, build, and maintain data pipelines from SQL databases, Excel/CSV files, and other data sources Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and KPI calculations Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reports Support AI-assisted insight generation, including trend analysis and anomaly detection Translate business requirements into actionable BI dashboards and reports Collaborate closely with the BI Manager and business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making Ensure adherence to reporting standards, data governance, and best practices Salary: Market-related, based on experience How to apply:
