A leading refinery and lubrication manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Refinery Plant and Operations Manager to oversee and optimise operations at its facility in Meyerton, Gauteng. Responsibilities Oversee daily refinery plant operations to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. Lead, supervise, and mentor plant teams, ensuring high performance and compliance with operational standards. Implement and manage production schedules, operational plans, and quality assurance protocols. Monitor and optimise refinery processes to improve output, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential risks, equipment issues, or process inefficiencies. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Coordinate maintenance activities and support teams in addressing equipment faults and downtime. Analyse operational data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements for plant performance. Liaise with internal departments to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Relevant degree or diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or a related field. Proven experience in refinery, petrochemical, lubrication manufacturing, or chemical plant operations. Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent knowledge of refinery processes, plant equipment, and operational standards. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
