Johannesburg: Deal Maker

This role demands a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and an enthusiasm for the finance industry, particularly in SMME lending. Key Attributes of a Successful Deal Maker: – Previous experience as a private banker. – Well-networked within the finance and business community. Key Performance Areas: – Screening and assessing potential new deals. – Analyzing and interpreting financial statements and reports to identify risks and opportunities. – Building and expanding a strong referral network for deal origination. – Participating in due diligence activities for potential loan deals. – Collaborating with internal teams, such as credit, underwriting, and loan closing, to ensure timely and accurate processing. – Following up on due diligence documentation and consolidating information efficiently. – Compiling comprehensive credit committee summaries and proposals. – Conducting onsite client visits across the country to assess the viability of potential deals. – Building and nurturing relationships with current customers, managing restructures, facility increases, renewals, and more. Qualifications: – Bachelor”s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. – Minimum of 5 years of experience in private banking or loan origination. – Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. – Excellent attention to detail and organizational prowess. – Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. – Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. – Willingness and ability to travel for onsite client visits as required.
