About the Role
Our client, a respected and established market leader in the Industrial Manufacturing and Engineering sector, is seeking an experienced Debtors Clerk to join their finance team in Cape Town. This firm specialises in designing, manufacturing, and distributing high-performance equipment for critical sectors including mining, industrial, and HVAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the full accounts receivable ledger.
- Lead follow-up on outstanding debts promptly via phone, email, and written communication.
- Accurately allocate payments received in the accounting system.
- Prepare and send accurate statements and invoices to customers.
- Reconcile customer accounts and proactively resolve any billing discrepancies or queries in a timely manner.
- Act as a key liaison between internal sales/logistics departments and customers regarding account queries.
- Generate aging reports and assist the finance team with month-end closing procedures.
- Actively assist in credit control functions to ensure timely collections and minimise risk.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) is mandatory.
- A diploma or certificate in Accounting or Finance is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Debtors Clerk role is essential.
- Experience using Sage X3 is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, good communication and problem-solving skills, time management, and a customer service orientation.

Salary & Benefits
R20,000 – R25,000 CTC per month (dependent on experience)
