Job Description
- Managing corporate tax accounting and compliance across multiple African countries
- Reviewing statutory tax returns including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax and Stamp Duty
- Overseeing quarterly and annual tax provision calculations for reporting purposes
- Supporting internal control and SOX reporting processes and ensuring strong tax governance
- Liaising with internal finance teams and external tax service providers to resolve tax matters
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum BCom Degree or equivalent (tax specialization beneficial)
- At least 5 years’ experience in Tax Accounting and Tax Compliance
- Experience working with tax across the African region
- Experience within a multinational group
- Completed articles and/or CA qualification will be considered favorably
- Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes
- Solid experience with corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax and related areas
- Ability to work across multiple countries and engage with diverse finance teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Independent, organized, proactive – you get things done without being chased
- Must have proven experience in African tax
- Comfortable working in a complex multinational environment
