About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Shift Artisan to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and implementing solutions to optimize plant operations and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance activities within the manufacturing plant
  • Troubleshoot equipment or process malfunctions to identify causes and implement solutions
  • Complete 5-Why analyses for every breakdown
  • Liaise with Shift Coordinators to support breakdown resolution and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Accurately capture maintenance and production data on MP2 and the OEE Haldan System

Requirements

  • Qualified Red Seal Electrician with a minimum of 2 years post-trade test experience (essential)
  • Minimum 5 years post-trade test maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (essential)
  • At least 3 years of the experience must be in manufacturing
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems
  • Strong problem-solving ability, leadership, and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Qualified Red Seal Industrial Electrician qualification (advantageous)
