About the Role
The Key Accounts Manager position is a critical role within our organization, responsible for managing key accounts in the seasoning, spices, and meat processing industries. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and implement account plans to achieve sales targets, identify new opportunities, and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage key accounts within the seasoning, spices, and meat processing industries
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key clients
- Develop and implement account plans to achieve sales targets and identify new opportunities
- Regularly assess client needs, understanding their business objectives, and provide tailored solutions
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand existing accounts and generate new business
- Address client concerns, resolve issues promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Track account performance, prepare reports, and provide insights to internal stakeholders
- Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure profitable outcomes while maintaining customer satisfaction
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in a related field is preferred but not essential
- Previous sales experience having worked in a sales role selling products into the manufacturing industry within the food spices, seasonings, or food ingredient raw material or meat processing industry is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to combine product knowledge with sales acumen to influence purchasing decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field (if applicable)
