About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction projects, excellent numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting cost estimates for construction projects
- Monitoring project costs and controlling expenses
- Preparing bills of quantities and tender documents
- Analysing contractual agreements and resolving discrepancies
- Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Conducting cost analysis and value engineering exercises
- Providing reports and updates on project budget and cost status
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards
Requirements
- Cost control, BOQ, Cost management, Cost planning, and Cost reporting skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods and regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
