About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg or Cape Town. As a technical sales professional with strong commercial acumen and a background in power transmissions or industrial automation, you will work at the intersection of engineering and business development, delivering tailored technical solutions that meet each client’s unique requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage new business opportunities
- Perform technical calculations for industrial equipment (e.g., conveyors, hoists)
- Present product solutions and value propositions to clients
- Collaborate with internal engineering and marketing teams
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to team success
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Maintain accurate records and submit sales forecasts
Requirements
- Technical sales experience, preferably in industrial motors or gearboxes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- A self-starter mindset with a proven sales track record
- Knowledge of VSDs, electric motors, and gearboxes (advantageous)
Qualifications
- Technical qualification in Engineering (preferred)
- Completed Matric (required for all applicants)
