About the Role
Aleon Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Credit Manager/Officer to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our credit management team, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving commercial credit proposals, assessing customer credit worthiness, and ensuring compliance with established credit guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve commercial credit proposals
- Assess the credit worthiness of customers
- Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and answer questions about the process
- Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants’ credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information
- File Verification in terms of established credit guidelines, process, and approval, maintaining a good balance between returns and risks exposure
- Review loan agreements to ensure they are complete and accurate according to policy
- Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customers’ needs
- Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them
- Market financial products to individuals and firms, promoting AFCL services that may meet customers’ needs
- Update and submit monthly data to credit bureau as per banking regulations
- Prepare daily reports and ensure all regular monthly reporting is generated for management review
Requirements
- Must have Credit management exposure
- Must have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Understanding of retail finance
