About the Role

Phakisa Holdings is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Despatch Clerk to join our operations team in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate stock and crate movement from production through to despatch of outbound trucks, as well as managing return logistics. Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and control stock movement from production to the despatch area
Ensure accurate loading and despatch of goods according to delivery schedules
Manage crate movements, including issuing, receiving, and reconciling returns
Prepare, verify, and process all despatch documentation (delivery notes, load sheets, invoices, etc.)
Capture and maintain accurate transactional data on the system
Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly, timeously, and filed appropriately
Liaise with production, warehouse, and transport teams to resolve discrepancies
Perform daily stock and crate reconciliations and investigate variances
Ensure compliance with company procedures, food safety standards, and health & safety regulations
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the despatch department

Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) with a mathematics pass rate of 60% or higher
Previous experience working in a despatch or dispatch department
FMCG industry experience is advantageous
Experience working with JD Edwards (JDE) is advantageous
