About the Role
Phakisa Holdings is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join their operations team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day quality and food safety activities on site to ensure products consistently meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate quality control activities across production, packing, and dispatch areas.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP, and statutory requirements.
- Verify adherence to approved product specifications, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Monitor CCPs, OPRPs, and quality checks; ensure deviations are investigated and addressed.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Internal Auditing of FSMS required.
- HACCP certification (minimum).
- ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 knowledge (formal training advantageous).
