About the Role
Hire Resolve, a innovative company that provides an all-digital tax assistant to millions of South Africans, is seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join their team in Cape Town. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our friendly tax assistant, leveraging your expertise to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop internal and client-facing functionality across the full development lifecycle
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code utilizing best practices (SOLID, DRY, KISS)
- Refactor legacy code into the new Symfony/ReactJS system
- Create and consume APIs (REST and SOAP)
- Assist with maintaining and improving our AWS-based production environment
Requirements
- $2 years of practical Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience
- $2 years of practical experience with an PHP MVC framework (Symfony preferred, Laravel accepted)
- $2 years of practical experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL
- $2 years of practical experience with Git
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment (Ubuntu)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Completion of equivalent certifications is an added advantage
