About the Role

Our client, an established and reputable Frozen Fish Manufacturer based in Blackheath, Western Cape, is seeking a highly experienced Factory Manager to take full ownership of their fish processing operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing all production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with Health & Safety and HACCP regulations within their fish plant.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily production and operations, ensuring targets are met efficiently.
Lead a team of 6 direct reports and approximately 70 production staff.
Ensure product quality, hygiene, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Standardize processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee critical production stages: filleting, packing, and temperature control.
Set up and monitor sorting machines and conveyor systems (maintenance handled by the team).
Maintain production records and HACCP documentation.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience in fish/food production management.
Strong knowledge of fish processing techniques and HACCP/Health & Safety compliance.
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and improve staff efficiency.
Basic MS Excel skills; advanced functions are a plus.
Valid driver’s license and own transport.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in fish production management

Salary & Benefits

R25 000 R30 000 Per Month PLUS Overtime
