About the Role

GALXBOY is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Cleaner to join our team in Johannesburg. As an Office Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and orderly office environment by performing various cleaning and housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
• Dust and wipe down desks, chairs, windowsills, and office equipment
• Empty waste bins and replace liners
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies (soap, toilet paper, paper towels)
• Wipe and disinfect door handles, switches, and high-touch surfaces
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen/canteen areas, including washing dishes and wiping countertops
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of all high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, switches, and shared appliances
• Report any damage or breakages to furniture, fixtures, or equipment immediately to the Office Administrator
• Identify and log any facility repair needs and potential hazards

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Preferred)
• Previous experience as an office cleaner or in a similar housekeeping role preferred
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and safe handling procedures
• Good physical stamina and mobility, able to lift light equipment and move between areas regularly

Qualifications

• Completed Grade 12 (if applicable)
• Previous experience in a similar housekeeping role (if applicable)
