About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Salary Clerk to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for managing and processing employee salaries, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, maintain, and update employee records in Pastel, including new hires, terminations, and changes to job titles or salary.
Process salary adjustments, bonuses, and commissions.
Ensure all payroll files are complete before “rolling over” to the next pay period.
Manage and calculate statutory deductions (taxes, UIF)
Update employee tax status and ensure compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., Basic Conditions of Employment Act).
Generate and distribute employee payslips.

Requirements

Grade 12
12 months of experience as a Salary clerk.
Must be criminal clear
