About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team at Signature Cosmetics in Gauteng. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience for all customers, driving sales and turnover through effective visual merchandising and product knowledge. Key Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming and inspirational environment for all customers
- Drive sales and turnover by motivating and inspiring the team members to achieve sales targets
- Maintain a clean, neat, and tidy store floor with fully replenished sales stock
- Ensure effective management of stock levels, stock losses, and shrinkage
- Correctly price products with relevant Price stickers and/or signage
- Check and investigate stock take and cycle count variance reports
- Adhere to point of sale and banking procedures, escalating any areas of concern to the Area Manager
- Execute all operational activities within the store in accordance with our policies and procedures
Requirements
- A matric, grade 12 or equivalent certificate
- A passion for cosmetics, retail, and customer service
- Knowledge of beauty and skincare products
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs
- Basic proficiency with email and Excel
- Good communication skills
