About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our reputable construction business, which operates across large-scale infrastructure, civil, and building projects. With strong project delivery capability, long-standing client relationships, and structured financial governance, we are committed to ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellence in all our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Project and contract accounting, including WIP, revenue recognition, and cost tracking
- Balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of variances
- Fixed asset management and capital expenditure tracking
- VAT returns and tax compliance
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Requirements
- Completed BCom degree (Accounting or Finance)
- 24 years post-articles experience within the construction sector
- Exposure to project-based or contract accounting essential
- Experience working on accounting or ERP systems (construction modules advantageous)
Qualifications
- Completed SAICA Articles
