About the Role

The Business Development Officer will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and expanding our commercial finance product offerings to new clients in Cape Town City Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to achieve sales targets
  • Identify and acquire new clients through networking and relationship building
  • Promote and sell commercial finance products and tailored funding solutions
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ensure excellent customer service and client retention
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Experience in the commercial finance industry (Essential)
  • Proven track record in sales or meeting/exceeding targets
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
