About the Role
Our client is a multinational automotive retail and property development powerhouse, operating at scale across multiple business units. This is a dynamic, fast-moving environment where finance is deeply embedded in operations and strategy. As the Head Office Accountant / Analyst, you’ll step into a hands-on, analytical role where finance meets systems, data meets decision-making and your work directly supports executive and operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide relevant financial information to support business and executive decision-making
- Perform internal audits of system integrations with Point-of-Sale platforms
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports
- Conduct audits across key financial areas within the group
- Extract, analyse and present data in a clear, commercial format
- Prepare detailed accounting schedules
- Support ad hoc projects, including strategic financial analysis
- Review management accounts, budgets and forecasts
Requirements
- Newly qualified CA(SA) or eligible to register as a CA(SA)
- Recently completed SAICA articles
- Exposure to audit, accounting and analytical work
- Intermediate MS Excel (pivots, formulas and data analysis)
- Experience with Pastel or Sage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Curious, questioning mindset with solid commercial awareness
- Comfortable working with large data sets
- Able to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and accountability
Qualifications
- Completed SAICA articles
