About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a driven and experienced Account Executive to join a dynamic, high-growth sales team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a vital role in expanding market presence, developing new business opportunities, and building strong client relationships within the EMEA region, with potential exposure to the US and APAC markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business development and revenue growth within the SMB segment
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Engage with senior leadership and C-level executives to establish and close new business opportunities
- Collaborate with customer success teams to manage high-potential accounts during the initial 12-month lifecycle
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline data using CRM systems
- Build and manage a robust pipeline through proactive outreach, inbound leads, and partnerships
- Share insights on sales performance and collaborate with peers to optimise the overall sales process
Requirements
- Proven sales success with businesses ranging from 50 to 500 employees
- Experience managing deal sizes between $10,000 and $50,000 ACV
- Ability to close deals within 1 to 3-month sales cycles
- Demonstrated experience in the EMEA market (US and APAC experience advantageous)
- Skilled in managing multiple stakeholders, including C-suite decision-makers
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar sales methodologies
- Previous experience in an early-stage scale-up or high-growth environment is essential
