About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network & Systems Administrator to manage, secure and optimise enterprise network and server environments for a large multi-site group in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Administration / Network Engineering and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, Wi-Fi and Internet connectivity across multiple sites
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure
- Server administration: Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, file/share permissions
- Microsoft 365 & Azure AD (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Network security, backups, disaster recovery & business continuity
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot escalated issues, manage emergencies
- Support hybrid cloud/on-prem environments
- Maintain documentation, firmware updates, patching and backups
- Mentor junior IT staff and liaise with vendors/service providers
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in IT Administration / Network Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols
- Windows Server & Windows 10/11 environments
- VPNs (site-to-site & client), Mikrotik RouterOS, firewalls
- Microsoft Active Directory & Office 365
- Certifications: A+ / N+, MCITP, Network Security+
- Diploma in IT Systems Administration (NQF 4/5) advantageous

Salary & Benefits
Basic salary of R30 000 – R50 000 depending on experience. Provident Fund & Medical Aid Contribution.
