A very well established and reputable company requires a creative Pastry Chef. In this hands-on role, youll focus exclusively on the pastry and decoration aspects of the clients products. We are looking for a visionary who can develop innovative recipes, ideas, and techniques to enhance our toppings, garnishes, and decorative elements. Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in dessert development, ideally in a Bakery, Patisserie environment (minimum 3-5 years preferred) Formal qualification in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field (e.g., diploma or certification from a recognized institution) Strong knowledge of the dessert industry, including current trends, flavor science, and ingredient interactions Expertise in pastry techniques, such as tempering chocolate, laminating dough, sugar work, and decorative piping Ability to follow and adapt recipes precisely while executing creative ideas with flair Self-motivated with a proactive approach to innovation and continuous improvement Excellent communication skills for sharing ideas, providing feedback, and collaborating with cross-functional teams Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting Problem-solving mentality, with the ability to address challenges like ingredient substitutions or production inefficiencies Food safety certification (e.g., HACCP or equivalent) is highly desirable Basic computer skills for recipe documentation and research.
