Job Description

Job title: Corporate Group Finance Manager (Johannesburg)

Job summary:

Responsible for the corporate Group functions of consolidation and reporting, financial analysis and planning (FA&P), annual statutory audit and financial statements and compliance and governance.

Key performance areas:

Monthly consolidation, review, analysis and reporting and comprehensive commentary of the Group financial information incl. Exco and Board packs preparation

Monthly consolidation, review, analysis and reporting & comprehensive commentary of the Group cash forecasting information

Cash-flow management: debtors, creditors, forecasts and payments approval

Leading the annual budget process for the Group and relevant consolidation, review, analysis, reporting and comprehensive commentary

Leading the quarterly forecast process for the Group and relevant consolidation, review, analysis, reporting and comprehensive commentary

Budget control: monthly corporate overheads’ review and analysis

Statutory compliance: VAT, PAYE, Customs and Income Tax review

Annual statutory audit and financial statements (leading the deliverables and process management)

Governance: financial systems and processes and controls codification and

implementation

Accounting policies management

Academic qualifications, registrations:

CA(SA) registration

Experience:

At least 5 years’ experience in an FM position

Minimum 3 years group / consolidations experience

Experience working with large companies with an annual revenue turnover of R 2 billion

Infrastructure project company related experience

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

Strong IFRS experience, including group consolidations

Knowledge of BuildSmart and Finnivo is highly advantageous

High proficiency in MS Office

Excellent communication skills

Staff leadership

Process optimization & continuous improvement
