Job Description

Our client is a well-established, family-owned agricultural business operating in the heart of the Worcester area. With a reputation for quality citrus production and a hands-on, people-focused culture, the business offers a practical, growth-oriented environment where future farm leaders are developed through real responsibility and daily involvement in operations.

They are currently seeking a Junior Production Manager (Citrus) who is eager to build a long-term career in commercial citrus production and contribute meaningfully to the success of a high-performing farming unit.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Energetic, hardworking and self-driven individual with a strong passion for citrus farming.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant practical and technical experience in citrus production.
  • Ability to function under pressure and apply sound, rational decision-making.
  • Strong people skills with above-average communication ability at all levels.
  • In-depth understanding of all citrus cultivation practices.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft 365
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture.
  • Solid knowledge of fertilisation and spraying practices.
  • Experience with ultra-low volume irrigation systems will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Unit Manager, the successful candidate will assist in managing a production unit of approximately 160 hectares.
  • Establishment, production, labour, packhouse coordination and cost management.
  • Farm maintenance management and administrative duties.
  • Disease and pest control.
  • Fertilisation and irrigation management (pump houses and electronic systems).
  • Overseeing and assisting with citrus harvesting operations.
