Hotel Overview A stylish, design-led lifestyle hotel situated in the heart of a vibrant city precinct, renowned for its impeccable service, curated guest experiences, and sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. The property attracts discerning local and international travellers who value personalised service, attention to detail, and seamless hospitality. Role Overview The Receptionist / Guest Experience Host serves as the first point of contact for guests, delivering a warm, polished, and memorable arrival and departure experience. This role extends beyond traditional reception duties to include concierge services, guest rooming, and conducting site inspections for prospective clients, ensuring a consistently exceptional guest journey. Key Responsibilities Front Office & Reception Welcome and check in guests efficiently, professionally, and with genuine warmth Manage guest check-outs, billing accuracy, and payment processing Handle reservations, amendments, and guest queries in line with hotel standards Maintain accurate guest records and communicate special requests across departments Concierge & Guest Services Act as a knowledgeable local ambassador, providing tailored recommendations for dining, activities, and transport Arrange reservations, transfers, and bespoke guest experiences Proactively anticipate guest needs and personalise interactions Rooming & Guest Orientation Escort guests to rooms when required, providing a seamless orientation of facilities and amenities Ensure guests feel informed, comfortable, and well cared for from arrival Site Inspections Conduct professional site inspections for prospective guests, travel partners, and corporate clients Present the hotel’s offerings with confidence, elegance, and attention to detail Liaise with sales or reservations teams following inspections Operational Excellence Handle guest feedback, requests, and complaints with discretion and efficiency Uphold brand standards, service culture, and appearance at all times Support the wider front office team to ensure smooth daily operations Skills & Experience Previous experience in a reception, guest services, or concierge role within a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Confident, well-presented, and guest-focused Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced setting Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and cultural offerings is advantageous Proficiency in hotel PMS systems and Microsoft Office is beneficial Personal Attributes Naturally warm, engaging, and service-driven Professional, reliable, and adaptable A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
