About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in bolting to join our team at Profile Personnel. As a key member of our quality control department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will be crucial in driving product improvements and implementing corrective actions to prevent nonconformances.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, define, coordinate, and be accountable for Quality audits and inspections in Press, Body, Paint, and Assembly shops
- Monitor and report on non-conformances and processes to drive early detection and initiate corrective actions
- Establish root causes and implement corrective actions for allocated quality problems
- Interfacing with various departments within the company
- Present findings/reports at various forums and management structures
- Liaise with overseas counterparts with regard to build/quality matters
- Coordinate and be accountable for Quality issues
- Lead cross-functional teams when required
Requirements
- National Diploma in one of the following engineering sciences (ND Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Metallurgy)
- 3-5 years experience within the manufacturing industry
- Good report writing and presentation skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound knowledge of Vehicle Manufacturing processes
- Experience with Quality Tools e.g., Fishbone, FMEA, SPC & DOE
- In-depth knowledge of bolting equipment and applications inclusive of monitoring systems and controls
Qualifications
- BSc Degree/B-Tech Mechanical/Metallurgy or Mechatronics Engineering (optional)
- Certificate in Toolmaking Trade (optional)
