About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Millwright with experience in manufacturing to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, troubleshooting electrical issues, and maintaining equipment to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and motivate the workforce to achieve maximum production output
- Ensure proper raw material control and monitoring to achieve the most economical usage throughout the production process
- Perform preventative maintenance on all sections and divisions to avoid loss of time
- Maintain all electrical/electronic equipment to the highest working and safety standards
- Monitor machine settings to avoid raw material losses
- Provide accurate daily production statistics
- Control maintenance stores and related purchasing
- Ensure the minimum downtime as a result of electrical breakdowns
- Fault finding (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
- Work on both HT and LT electrical systems
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years working experience in a manufacturing industry (production environment)
- Experience with PLC fault finding (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
- Working experience in 220V and 380V maintenance/electrical panels and control circuits
- Competent to work on both HT and LT electrical systems
- Excellent communication skills with all levels
