About the Role
Telebest is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to our business units. If you have a strong background in finance and excellent leadership skills, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial preparations and reporting on Contract/Sector/BU
- Maintain the financial system and report on the current financial status of all contracts / sector / BU
- Monitor the budget and participate in forecast preparation
- Day-to-day handling of financial requirements
- Attend meetings as and when required and attend to all treasury requirements
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT reconciliation
- Prepare GL reconciliations
- Develop customer relationships to secure payment on time
- Ensure legal compliance of all financial standards
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in finance – relevant B Com degree
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Team leadership qualities
- Advanced skills in Excel and financial package
- Read and interpret commercial contracts
- Budgeting and variance reporting
