About the Role
As Financial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full financial function of a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) in Gauteng. You will provide accurate and reliable financial information to support business operations and work closely with senior management to drive growth and profitability. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as part of the parent company’s structure initially, with a view to transitioning to become a direct employee of the business as it achieves full independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to senior management
- Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, insurance brokers, and BBBEE advisors
- Coordinate annual statutory audits and ensure compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
- Produce Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS
- Ensure board reporting and statutory compliance
- Manage all SARS submissions including VAT, income tax, and payroll taxes
- Oversee daily cash book operations and bank reconciliations
- Prepare comprehensive cash flow forecasts
- Optimize working capital ratios including stock and debtor management
Requirements
- BCom Honours in Finance/Accounting or equivalent financial degree
- Minimum 12 years as a Financial Manager in an SME environment
- Proven track record managing the complete financial function
- Strong understanding of IFRS, SARS regulations, and statutory compliance
Qualifications
- Completed BCom Honours degree in Finance/Accounting
