About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client, a leading Water and Environmental Consulting company, is seeking a Junior Hydrogeologist to join their team in Johannesburg. As a Junior Hydrogeologist, you will be responsible for supporting senior hydrogeologists in conducting water resource assessments, groundwater modeling, and environmental site investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Fieldwork including: hydro-census, geology, groundwater sampling, geophysical sampling, drilling supervision, pump testing, soils classification
- Project and client communication: adhere to appropriate procedures for geophysical techniques, high standard of field documentation, health and safety policies and procedures and administrative submissions
- Scheduling and booking or resources
- Maintenance of equipment
- Maintenance and calibration of equipment according to standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology
- Eligible to register with SACNASP (Pr Sci Nat)
- 1-2 years of experience in hydrogeological fieldwork and data analysis
- Proficiency in the use of hydrogeological software and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in fieldwork and data interpretation
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks and environmental guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project site

- Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology (not specified, but assumed as part of the job requirements)
