Job Description

Position: Professional Structural Engineer

Hire Resolves client is currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Professional Structural Engineer to join their team in Tshwane, Gauteng. As a Professional Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, evaluating and analysing various structural components and systems to ensure their safety and integrity.

Responsibilities:

Performing structural analysis and design calculations for various types of structures, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects
Developing detailed plans and specifications for construction projects
Conducting site inspections and evaluations to assess the condition of existing structures and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades
Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that designs meet project requirements and codes
Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior staff members
Ensuring that all designs comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration with ECSA
Minimum of 5 – 10 years of experience in structural engineering
Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or similar
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of relevant construction codes and regulations
