Job Description

Our client, a well-established automation solutions provider, is seeking experienced PLC Programmers to join their engineering team. This role involves the design, development, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support of industrial automation systems across a variety of industries. The successful candidates will work with leading PLC platforms including Omron, Siemens, and Allen Bradley, while also contributing to electrical design and HMI development. The position includes participation in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), on-site commissioning, and customer support. Due to the nature of the projects, the role requires frequent local and international travel, often including extended periods away from home. Two positions are available immediately, with salary negotiable based on experience and capability.

Education:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
  • Omron, Siemens and/or Allen Bradley training or certifications will be advantageous

 
Job Experience & Skills Required:

  • Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs on Omron, Siemens, and/or Allen Bradley platforms
  • Implement control strategies based on functional specifications, P&IDs, and customer requirements
  • Configure PLC hardware, I/O, and industrial communication networks
  • Produce electrical control designs, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN
  • Develop and maintain HMI screens, alarms, trends, and diagnostics
  • Execute and support Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT) and on-site commissioning
  • Perform system troubleshooting, optimisation, and support during start-up phases
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and manage revisions
  • Collaborate with project teams and customers throughout project lifecycles
  • Travel locally and internationally for project execution and commissioning
