Job Description
- Manage daily site operations for ventilation and ducting installation projects.
- Lead and coordinate a dedicated on-site installation team.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Liaise closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, production staff, and draftsmen.
- Conduct site visits prior to installation to assess requirements and plan resources.
- Plan projects efficiently, including the hiring of installation equipment (e.g. cranes, cherry pickers, scaffolding).
- Prepare and maintain safety files for each installation, ensuring full compliance with site regulations.
- Monitor and report on project progress, proactively resolving on-site challenges.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) essential; a technical or engineering qualification advantageous.
- Proven site management experience in the mechanical or HVAC industry.
- Strong understanding of ducting systems and installation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Must be hands-on and comfortable managing site activities directly.
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to various project sites.
