Job Description
- Valid Wireman’s License appropriate for issuing Certificates of Compliance
- Legally registered and authorised to issue and sign off Electrical Certificates of Compliance
- Strong working knowledge of SANS 10142 and relevant electrical and solar regulations
- Proven experience in inspecting electrical installations
- High attention to detail and strong administrative accuracy
- Ability to complete and manage job cards and compliance documentation
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage inspection schedules
- Valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct post-installation inspections on solar PV and related electrical systems
- Verify that installations comply with SANS regulations, OHS requirements and company standards
- Identify non-compliant work and provide clear feedback for corrective action
- Issue and sign off Electrical Certificates of Compliance where installations meet legal requirements
- Complete and maintain accurate job cards, inspection reports and compliance records
- Ensure all required documentation is properly filed and kept up to date
- Liaise with installation teams, subcontractors and management regarding compliance findings
- Support continuous improvement by highlighting recurring installation issues
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and regulatory adherence on all inspected sites
