About the Role

We are seeking a commercially astute and detail-oriented Property Financial Manager for a luxury boutique hotel in Cape Town. As a hands-on finance role, you will be responsible for overseeing all property-level financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and robust reporting while supporting operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all property-level finance functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures
  • Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring correct budget allocation
  • Manage cash flow, petty cash, and credit card reconciliations
  • Validate daily revenue submissions and ensure timely financial reporting
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and operating equipment registers
  • Oversee inventory controls, variance checks, and final system sign-offs
  • Drive and manage the annual budgeting process at property level
  • Prepare and analyse management accounts with variance reporting
  • Produce flash and projection reports to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Support pricing of extras and ancillary services in collaboration with operations

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in finance, with at least 2 years in hospitality
  • Strong MS Office skills; experience with accounting systems (Sage advantageous)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
