Job Description

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Gr. 12 (Std. 10) with Mathematics Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Labour Law or related fieldMINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:5 Years working experience in a unionised Manufacturing Environment after completion of tertiary qualifications (preferred). Proven experience as an HR practitioner or similar roleProven experience dealing with IR issuesPrevious dealings/exposure to MEIBC preferredSKILLS AND COMPETENCIESCommunication Skills (both verbal and written) in English as a minimum. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesExcellent attention to detail in order to analyse data and generate trend reportsStrong numeracy skillsInterpersonal skills (interact with other Departments)Ability to deal with large amounts of administration and keep accurate recordsAbility to work independently with a minimum amount of supervisionComputer literate (minimum of MS Office & MS Excel). In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practicesStrong organisational and multitasking abilitiesProblem solving abilityHigh level of confidentiality and integrityRecruitment and selectionTraining and developmentConflict resolutionPerformance managementEmployee relationsSUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Implement and manage HR policies and proceduresHandle recruitment and selection processesConduct employee onboarding and training programsManage employee relations and resolve conflictsOversee performance appraisal and management processesEnsure compliance with labour laws, regulations and MEIBC AgreementsMaintain employee records and HR databasesProvide guidance on HR matters to employees and managementImplement and manage all disciplinary/procedural matters associated with employeesFemale Applicants encouraged to apply.
