About the Role
The Reliability Manager (Utilities) is a critical role that requires a strong technical background and excellent analytical skills to track production losses, manage risk, and ensure life cycle asset management. The successful candidate will work closely with operations teams to develop plans to eliminate or reduce losses, and facilitate implementation.
Key Responsibilities
• Works with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
• Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.
• Develops acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
• Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
• Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes value-added preventive maintenance tasks and effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies.
• Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Experience with data analysis techniques such as Statistical Process Control, Reliability modeling and prediction, Fault Tree Analysis, Weibull Tree Analysis, and Six Sigma (6σ) Methodology
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical)
- Relevant experience in reliability engineering, asset management, or a related field
