About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Camp Chef / Guide couple to join our luxury safari camp in the Kalahari. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while working collaboratively with the lodge staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality, fresh meals in line with luxury safari standards
- Plan menus, manage stock, and control kitchen costs
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Cater for dietary requirements and special guest requests
- Conduct professional game drives and guided activities
- Deliver informative and engaging interpretations of wildlife, ecology, and the environment
- Ensure guest safety and uphold guiding best practices
- Contribute positively to the overall guest experience and camp operations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a camp chef within a lodge or safari environment
- Relevant guiding qualifications and valid PDP (where applicable)
- Strong guest focus and professional presentation
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and strong teamwork as a couple
