About the Role
HotelJobs is currently assisting a new luxury safari lodge in Tanzania to recruit an experienced and guest-centric Lodge Manager. The successful candidate will be passionate about service excellence, operational efficiency, and personalized guest journeys, while maintaining the highest international standards across all areas of lodge operations and representing the lodge as a professional and credible brand ambassador in a world-class safari destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage lodge operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Develop and implement strategies for operational efficiency and cost management
- Lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve outstanding results
- Coordinate with local authorities, suppliers, and partners to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Oversee maintenance and repairs of lodge infrastructure
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality or equivalent (essential for work permit purposes)
- Previous experience in hospitality management, preferably in a safari lodge or remote luxury resort setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
