Estimator (with CCS Candy Experience) Support high-impact fire protection tenders with precision estimating Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa | Full-time About Our Client A leading provider of fire protection solutions serving the construction and industrial sectors across South Africa. The company delivers compliant, high-quality systems and is driven by accuracy, performance, and professionalism. The Role: Estimator The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for fire protection and construction-related projects. This role is essential to successful tendering and project planning, with a specific focus on utilising CCS Candy estimating software. Working closely with commercial and operational teams, the Estimator will help ensure competitive and profitable submissions by producing Bills of Quantities, evaluating subcontractor pricing, and contributing to risk and value analysis. Key Responsibilities Minimum 510 years experience in cost estimating within the built environment Review and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications Prepare cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, and equipment across fire protection and construction scopes Develop and manage Bills of Quantities and estimating schedules using CCS Candy Assess and integrate subcontractor quotations into overall estimates Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement to refine cost assumptions Contribute to risk analysis, value engineering, and cost optimisation Prepare tender documentation and assist with formal submissions Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases About You 510 years relevant estimating experience in construction or related industries Proven experience using CCS Candy software essential Matric / Grade 12 essential Diploma or Degree (BTech/NDip) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar preferred Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Effective communication and strong organisational abilities Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
