Buyer (FMCG) – China (Fully remote position to be based in China)
An exciting opportunity exists for a Student/Junior candidate to step into the world of FMCG Buying on an international scale and contribute to strategic procurement decisions. A South African based FMCG Powerhouse is seeking a junior candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset who can proactively source suppliers at the best rates. This is a performance-driven role, and the candidate will be measured on results and contribution to the business.
Basic Job Requirements:
- Fluent in Mandarin and English essential
- Recent graduate or final-year student in a relevant field – Supply Chain Management/Procurement or Business Administration/International Business studies
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
KPA’s:
- Source, negotiate, and manage FMCG suppliers in China.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of quality products.
- Collaborate with the South African team to align procurement strategy with business objectives.
- Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.
