About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our luxury reserve in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape. As a live-in position, we require a hands-on individual with strong mechanical and maintenance skills, comfortable working in a remote bush environment, and committed to supporting lodge and reserve operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage safari and reserve vehicle fleet
- Schedule and execute preventative maintenance
- Perform mechanical diagnostics, fault-finding, and repairs
- Maintain tyres, brakes, suspension, steering, and drivetrains
- Keep accurate service and mileage records
- Liaise with external mechanics as required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience, preferably with fleet, diesel, or heavy vehicles
- Experience in lodge, reserve, or remote-site maintenance advantageous
- Practical trade qualification beneficial (Welding, electrical fault-finding, plumbing, and pump system knowledge)
Qualifications
- Valid Code B drivers licence required; Code 10 / PDP advantageous
