About the Role
The Senior SHEQ Officer will be responsible for maintaining, implementing, and improving our Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 standards. This role involves managing industrial client safety files and statutory compliance documentation, ensuring technical and site staff are site-ready, and promoting a proactive, safety-first culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, implement, and improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001
- Maintain, implement, and improve the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in line with ISO 45001
- Manage industrial client safety files and statutory compliance documentation
- Ensure technical and site staff are site-ready, including medicals, inductions, and mandatory training
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement mitigation measures
- Investigate incidents, manage non-conformances, and drive corrective and preventative actions
- Facilitate internal and external audits and support management review meetings
- Develop, maintain, and control SHEQ documentation, procedures, and records
- Deliver SHEQ training and assess staff competency
- Monitor SHEQ KPIs and ensure accurate reporting and record-keeping
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Formal training in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Formal training in ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel
