About the Role
The Production Support Specialist will form part of the production support function, acting as first-line support for trading and custody-related systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incidents, resolving technical queries, monitoring system performance, and ensuring the seamless operation of critical trading applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve technical queries and support requests with a high level of service delivery
- Prioritise incidents according to severity and business impact
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party providers to resolve issues efficiently
- Monitor system alerts and notifications to ensure optimal system performance
- Escalate issues in accordance with established processes
- Support and maintain key system areas including: Financial instruments Pricing and market data Trade routing User and client configuration Reporting System integrations
- Conduct investigations, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and testing where required
- Assist in maintaining system stability and operational continuity
- Perform additional duties aligned with the scope of the role
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
- Tertiary qualification advantageous
- Minimum 2 years experience in a trading, financial markets, or technical support environment
- Strong understanding of global securities trading, foreign exchange and margin products
- Proficiency in: MS Office SQL APIs
- Exposure to coding languages is advantageous
