Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials and products for production, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing terms
- Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment to avoid stock shortages
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and contribute to the development of new products
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics to track procurement performance
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion, or a related field
- 6 to 8 years of experience either in retailing or clothing manufacturing as a Buyer in Ladieswear, Menswear, Kidswear, Accessories, and Footwear
- Exceptional technical merchandising skills and the proven ability to interpret trends
- Proven ability to conceptualize a product
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of market trends and ability to forecast demand
- Familiarity with procurement processes and inventory management
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
