• Assist with asbestos removal activities in line with approved work procedures and regulations
• Use and maintain PPE and respiratory protective equipment (RPE) correctly at all times
• Comply with health, safety and environmental (SHEQ) standards on site
• Work safely in confined spaces and at heights when required
• Follow site instructions, risk assessments and method statements
• Assist with site preparation, containment and clean-up activities
• Handle asbestos-containing materials safely and responsibly
• Report hazards, incidents or unsafe conditions to the supervisor
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be local to Richards Bay
• Minimum of 1-year relevant experience in asbestos removal, construction, demolition, or industrial site work
• Valid asbestos training certificate
• Medically fit with a valid medical certificate
• Trained and competent to work at heights
• Trained for confined space work
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
• Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures.
