Position: O&M Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Power Generation

A global energy technology company is seeking an experienced O&M Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its operations and maintenance team at a major power generation plant. This role is critical for ensuring the highest standards of mechanical maintenance, safety, and reliability. Qualification & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of combined cycle power plants
• Proven working experience in the service/maintenance sector of industrial plants, with a strong preference for power generation
• Experience working in a multinational, project-based environment is highly valued
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, confident interacting at all organizational levels
• Excellent command of the English language (French or Portuguese advantageous)
• A quality-oriented, proactive team player with strong organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Mechanical Maintenance policies, codes, and standards, ensuring full compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Work independently and provide technical mentorship to technicians and fellow engineers
• Manage sophisticated engineering tasks and maintenance activities, employing innovative and effective solutions
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed to the highest quality standards, within budget and on schedule
• Diagnose complex problems and determine the most effective technical and professional solutions
• Create, update, and implement work plans and work orders based on OEM recommendations, field notifications, best practices, and internal procedures
• Utilize the plant management system for reporting, performing work, and requesting materials
• Champion Health & Safety by strictly adhering to and enforcing all plant safety laws and procedures
