A leading player in the heavy commercial vehicle industry is looking for a hands-on, technically strong Quality Controller to join their Workshop team. If youre a natural leader with a passion for productivity, quality workmanship, and maintaining high service standards this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of workshop technicians.

Monitor technician hours and ensure efficient, productive output.

Drive productivity to achieve sold hours targets.
-
Reduce rectifications/reworks through continuous quality improvement.

Conduct ad-hoc inspections and consolidate quality reports.
-
Manage and action reports from the Department of Transport.
-
Oversee planning, workshop loading, and workflow.
-
Supervise and coordinate staff training and technical development.
-
Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental standards.

Ensure teams understand and follow SCP processes.
-
Drive WIP daily and streamline throughput processes.
-
Manage accident scenes and compile accurate reports.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 / Matric.
-
Trade-tested Auto Electrician or Diesel Mechanic.

Minimum 5 years experience in the heavy commercial vehicle industry.

Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment.

Strong technical background with solid fault-finding ability.
-
Computer literate.
