About the Role
WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a dynamic, non-traditional insurance provider to hire a strategic and analytical Financial Analyst. With over 25 years of market presence, this organisation focuses on client-centric innovation and solving financial needs with unique, creative offerings.
As Financial Analyst, youll play a key role in driving financial insights, supporting decision-making through data, and contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and modelling. Youll engage across departments to support business strategy, maintain compliance, and optimise reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse financial data and create reports on trends, KPIs, and performance variances

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial risk/opportunity identification

Build and maintain financial models for investment and scenario evaluation
-
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and assist during audits
-
Manage and design performance incentives for internal teams
-
Conduct market and competitor analysis for benchmarking and strategic input

Maintain spend management systems and support approval workflows
-
Collaborate across departments to translate data into actionable insights

Present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
What Youll Bring
-
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
-
Minimum of 1 year experience in financial analysis or accounting

Proven skills in developing financial models and analysing financial performance
-
Strong Excel skills; proficiency in financial modelling and tools like Power BI or Tableau
-
Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills
-
High attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management skills
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
-
Team-focused with effective collaboration and interpersonal abilities
Nice to Have

Experience in insurance or healthcare finance

Familiarity with financial compliance processes and audit preparation

Exposure to incentive design and spend management systems
